10. Taliharja Vanakuri will take place on 9-10 January 2027, Saaremaa island

Taliharja Vanakuri is a 101 km long winter endurance race on foot, skis or bike, which takes participants on a long journey through sparsely populated wilderness, where each participant is responsible for their own survival.

The very first Taliharja Vanakuri took place on 13 January 2018. At 7 pm, 38 brave souls set off on a cold journey from Lelle railway station to Aegviidu railway station. The 101 km course ran through Kõnnu- and Kõrvemaa. In -13 degrees Celsius, 33 people reached the finish line under their own power. There were no “pehmo’s” back then 🙂
